Fall is a great time to review the stewardship requirements and to make sure your monitoring and inspection reports are up-to-date!
Remember, once per calendar year each conservation easement property must be monitored and each conservation fee property inspected.
Conservation easement monitoring helps discover changes in land ownership, identify potential violations, and build relationships with the landowners. Annually inspecting conservation properties helps the land trust identify potential property ownership challenges.
